Jay Greene joined Community Housing Solutions (CHS) in 2025, bringing more than 40 years of leadership in affordable housing, public finance, and community development. Throughout his career, Jay has guided large-scale housing initiatives across the Mid-Atlantic region, building high-impact partnerships and expanding access to safe, equitable, and permanently affordable homes.

Jay works closely with the Board and leadership team to advance CHS’s mission, ensuring the long-term success of current programs while strategically positioning the organization for future growth. His deep experience in acquisition, preservation, and development of affordable housing is already opening new opportunities in emerging economic markets, strengthening CHS’s role as a trusted community partner.

Prior to joining CHS, Jay held senior leadership roles in both the public and nonprofit sectors, including:

Jay’s work spans the full spectrum of affordable housing and community investment—policy, finance, redevelopment, resident services, and long-term asset stewardship. His leadership has directly supported thousands of units of affordable housing and strengthened community infrastructure across multiple jurisdictions.

Jay holds a B.A. in Economics from The City College of New York, an M.A. in Urban and Regional Planning from Pratt Institute, and an MBA in Finance from Pace University.
